Short hills for C Group last night! 🏃‍♀️⛰️

It may have been a little overcast, but it was still very warm and humid. We definitely appreciated the breeze waiting for us at the top of the hill!

Fantastic effort from everyone—hill sessions are never easy, but they’re a great way to build strength, speed and confidence. Well done, team! 👏💪

A group are meeting at Bickerton Church, SY14 8AR at 6.30pm for 6.45pm.

B & C group are meeting at the Candle Workshops, Higher Burwardsley, CH3 9PF 6:30pm for 6:45pm

Reminder - you are required to sign up online or on the runner app. Any problems, ask run leaders on Tuesday before we start.

A fantastic first for Tattenhall Running Club and an amazing achievement. 🤩👏

Club member David Cooney ran in the Comrades Marathon in South Africa on Sunday.

The race is a point to point double marathon distance, and a bit more, at 90km!
Each year the race changes direction and this year was an “Up” rather than a “Down” edition with more climb.

The race has different medals depending on your finishing time. Comrades is a South African institution and dominates the running scene.

Started after the First World War to commemorate wartime comrades it is a globally prestigious race. David was awarded a sub 10 hour medal - medals are often named after a prominent Comrades personality - in this case the first black finisher from 1935 Robert Mtshali who also ran under 10 hours!

Who else thinks it’s bad luck to point at a rainbow? Is this just a Cheshire colloquialism? 😅
