The Wild of the Words - Pridie Tiernan Ethnobotanist, bushcraft instructor, folklorist and storyteller. Woman of wild and words, living in the Black Mountains of Wales. �

Self-confessed story obsessive Pridie takes stories outdoors as teacher, writer and traditional storyteller. ​

​Specialising in the design of nature-based immersive 'outdoor storying' experiences, Pridie blends together a unique mix of folklore and fairytales, history and traditions with wild food foraging, natural navigation and wilderness skills.

​Each of her experiences brings the natural world to life in an intimate, engaging and inspiring way, with the ultimate aim of encouraging us all to protect and preserve the land, trees, plants and creatures we live alongside.

​As well as being a solo performer, Pridie also works collaboratively with fellow storytellers, chefs, musicians and filmmakers to create a wide variety of wild and wordy events for all, including the all-women retreat She Can Do Wild, Folktrails films and podcasts and Fairytrails outdoor storying adventures. She also delivers storytelling training for educators and industry, teaches English privately and in school, and chairs the charity HSG who focus on educating, inspiring and empowering young people in Uganda.

Yesterday, we hosted the most brilliant bunch of women and their beautiful babes at Cwmffrwd Farm Campsite🥰

They came to enjoy our wood-fired sauna and booked our snuggly 17th Century Hayloft for a few hours while they did so - taking it in turns to rest and reboot with a delicious bit of hot/cold therapy while the tiny ones played in the hayloft supervised by friends.

This sauna + hayloft combination is available weekdays only (subject to availability) for £25pp (minimum six people, maximum nine). It includes exclusive use of our beautiful wood-fired sauna as well as use of the farm's cosy 17th Century Hayloft with its own lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

From parent groups and hiking buddies to book clubs and team business meetings - everyone is welcome!
