Our pond is completed, Preschool children have had time this week to visit the works and see the progress, just the planting next week and we are ready for wildlife.
See the before and after transformation. Thankyou to our handyman and Kelly for all their hard work. Miss Honeybee for helping with the preparation.

High House forest school is having the pond area renovated this weekend and early next week. The plan below is our image.

We can wait for it to be completed and give children more opportunities to enjoy our outside areas.

This morning the pre tods have a very exciting activity waiting for them in the garden. This week we have been developing our pre tend play. Today we are going to pretend to be on a camping trip, eating food outside and then going to bed in a tent!

In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf 🍃

The pre Todd's have loved helping the staff make the very hungry caterpillar 🐛. We have been reading the story and pretending to feed our own caterpillar!

Our Barn at high house has turned into a beach from the heat outside! Our toddlers are sure to have lots of fun staying cool on our beach. Hope you brought sunscreen ☀ 🏖

Numbers recognition this week in Barn Owls!

We discussed Spring and how birds 🐦 make nests to lay 🥚.
Toddlers went to the Forest garden, picked up straws and sticks, and made nests for birds.
We continued with calling out "nests and birds," ( Number one, two, three, four, five)
After that children helped birds to find their eggs.
Barnies had fun watching me shuffle and toss eggs in a basket.
Each child took one egg and put it into the matching nest.

What a great way to learn Maths!

The pre tods have had so much fun making some floral potions today! This has been a fantastic activity for our fine motor skills with pouring, mixing and scooping up the mixture. The children have also explored flower petals and citrus fruits! Our room smelt like spring 🍋 🌸 🌷

What a fantastic way to learn all about colours whilst developing our creativity skills! The pre tods loved painting outside this morning!

Little gardener's! Today the pre tods and babies have been busy planting there own sunflowers. We learnt how to mix and scoop the compost up and empty it into our plant pot. We will water them and watch closely to see them grow! 🌻
