Hot weather update....
I am writing to inform you that the school will have to remain closed tomorrow, Thursday 25th June.
As a school we always try to avoid closure. I understand the impact that it can have on pupils and families.
This decision has been made following careful consideration of the following factors:
• A significantly reduced number of teachers and support staff are able to attend, largely due to childcare challenges arising from the closure of other schools.
• While we explored the possibility of combining classes, the extreme temperatures mean we do not have sufficient large spaces that can be kept adequately cool and safe for students and staff.
We appreciate that this may cause inconvenience, and we are grateful for your understanding as we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our school community.
I will communicate with you as early as possible tomorrow to confirm arrangements for Friday.
