Have you heard of BS 30480?
It’s the UK’s first proposed British Standard for su***de prevention, intervention, and postvention in the workplace.
Right now, it’s in consultation and set to be finalised in late 2025.
For us, this isn’t just another guideline.
It’s a landmark step that will ask organisations to:
✅ Build a culture where su***de awareness is openly addressed
✅ Train staff and leaders to recognise signs and intervene safely
✅ Put clear protocols in place before, during, and after a crisis
✅ Offer proper support for teams impacted by su***de
Training will be the key to bringing this standard to life.
