One of the most loved foods for 清明节 (Qīng míng jié) is Qingtuan (青团 qīng tuán), beautiful green rice balls!
These jade green dumplings are made with glutinous rice mixed with mugwort or barley grass juice. The natural green colour and subtle spring flavour are so distinctive! Inside, you'll find sweet red bean paste or sesame paste. Qingtuan represents the fresh green of spring and has been a Qingming tradition for centuries!

Tomorrow (5th April) marks two important spring festivals, Qingming Festival (清明节 Qīng míng jié) in Chinese culture and Easter in Christian tradition.
Qingming, meaning "Clear and Bright," is a time when families honour their ancestors, enjoy the spring weather, and celebrate renewal in nature.
Easter celebrates hope, renewal, and new beginnings.
Both festivals remind us of the importance of reflection, remembrance, and the beauty of spring's arrival.
