The Learning Curve

The Learning Curve We are conveniently situated on the junction of Newton Road and Stanley Street, directly opposite Oystermouth Primary School and above 'Home from Home'.

We are a professional tuition centre providing tuition in Maths and English for primary and secondary children for students from Mumbles, Sketty, Killay and Gower. The centre first opened in June 2006 as a Kip McGrath Education Centre. It soon gained an excellent reputation for providing first class tuition to children and young people from the area. In August 2011 we left the Kip McGrath franchise network and became an independent tuition centre. Now renamed 'The Learning Curve', we have invested in a wider range of new educational resources and materials, related directly to the National Curriculum in Wales. The Learning Curve is run by husband and wife team, Steve & Sue Evans who are both well qualified and experienced teachers. Together they have around 60 years of experience teaching in schools. Steve spent most of his career teaching maths and science in wide range of schools, from a public school in Surrey to an inner city comprehensive. He also spent a number of years teaching in a primary school. Sue has also had experience of teaching in a number of schools and has served as a classroom teacher, teacher in charge of English, Deputy Head and Acting Head.
