As test day approaches, it’s natural to feel a bit anxious but being well prepared can help you feel calm and in control as even the simple things on test day will determine your test day performance. We’ve put together a list of of practical tips to help you feel confident on the day.
Here’s what you need to remember:
– Bring your ID (passport or national ID) - it’s essential for entry.
– Pack a pen and pencil – and take a few spares just in case.
– The test runs in this order: Listening, Reading, Writing, then Speaking.
– Eat a healthy breakfast – avoid anything heavy that might slow you down.
– Take a snack and some water – there can be a wait before the Speaking test.
– Plan your route in advance – know where the centre is and how long it takes to get there.
– Ignore the noise – it doesn’t matter how many practice tests others have done.
– Keep calm – take deep breaths and stay focused.
– Remind yourself of how far you’ve come – this is your moment.
– And finally – believe in yourself. Confidence goes a long way.
