Last week I had the opportunity to guide Simon, the head warden of Lundy island up the iconic, 3-star climbing route, the Devil’s Slide 🛝

The route itself is a long multi-pitch sea cliff route, requiring an abseil in, airy belays and delicate slab climbing. 🧗 great work by Simon!

The work that all the Lundy island wardens and staff do is so important to the conservation of the delicate environment and nesting seabirds🐣 making sure as climbers we cooperate and work to protect these areas is vital!

Last weekend I was joined by for a day of problem solving skills as they get ready for some upcoming trips to remote locations!

Would you know what to do if your climbing partner couldn’t finish the route you’re on? What about ascending back up a rope when you realise you abseiler into the wrong sea crag!? These tools are important tools for any climbers skill set.

Well done to Andy this Saturday, two crags in one day! Loads of teaching points about abseiling, seconding skills, trad belays and of course, enjoying the fantastic scenery!
