Subsea7, together with Seaway7 and the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), is proud to celebrate BORA Blue Ocean Research Alliance® winning the RenewableUK Environmental Excellence Award at the Global Offshore Wind Awards 2026.

It recognises the importance of the Alliance's contribution to ocean research and environmental monitoring, including visual observations of rare species made via our Eyes in the Ocean cameras and sampling by BORAbox® technology, deployed from our global fleet.

This fantastic achievement highlights the work of our offshore operations personnel and onshore environmental specialists. Through the Alliance, we and our colleagues have the opportunity to provide meaningful insights into marine life that might otherwise never see the light of day.

We look forward to seeing their latest discoveries, as this impressive collaboration continues.

Saturday, October 10, is World Mental Health Day.

It is a day to recognise those who have faced or are facing mental health challenges, and to encourage those in need to take advantage of the support available in their communities and workplaces.

At Subsea7, we are committed to creating a workplace where conversations about mental health are open, supportive and free from stigma.

Our people and safety culture encourages us to look after ourselves and one another, physically and mentally. We are fortunate to have the support of mental health first aid personnel across our business, who are trained to provide support, acting as a first point of contact for anyone who needs to talk.

Throughout October we are continuing the conversation on mental health and support through a series of global initiatives including workshops and guest lectures designed to raise awareness, encourage open conversation and provide practical tools to support mental wellbeing for our colleagues. Thank you to everyone involved in delivering these vital events.

Simply checking in, listening or offering a helping hand can mean more than we realise - because mental health matters today, and every day.

Subsea7 has been recognised in two categories at the 9th Petrobras Best Suppliers Awards 2026, announced during ROG.e.

We received awards in the Subsea Systems Installation (EPCI) and Special ESG Award – Decarbonisation categories. The awards recognise suppliers that play a strategic role in delivering goods and services to Petrobras, as well as initiatives that generate significant impact for the company’s operations. The assessment criteria include schedule performance, management, quality, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices, and value creation.

“Being acknowledged by Petrobras both for excellence in subsea systems installation and for a decarbonisation initiative reinforces Subsea7’s commitment to operational performance, safety and creating value for its clients,” said Yann Cottart, Senior Vice President Brazil and GPC West.

We are proud to recognise the decades of Subsea7 engineering and decommissioning expertise, and dedicated teamwork, which helped to ensure Ithaca Energy’s complex FPF-1 offshore decommissioning project was a success.

Decommissioning is about far more than removing infrastructure. It’s about careful planning, skilled engineering, continuous collaboration, and a relentless focus on safety and communication at every stage. From early planning through to final removal and handover, we set the standard for predictable and sustainable decommissioning, helping ensure offshore assets are managed responsibly while reducing waste and promoting the reuse and recycling of materials.

Our team’s ability to draw upon past success to safely decommission complex subsea architecture, overcome technical and logistical challenges, and work in partnership with multiple subcontractors alongside our client, demonstrated our culture in action.

Subsea7 today announced the award by Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center AS (TP-OTC) of a sizeable(1) extension to its Sakarya Phase 3 contract offshore Türkiye, strengthening its contribution to the next phase of the landmark Black Sea gas development.

The additional scope covers towing and mooring line installation and connection activities related to the commissioning of the development’s floating production unit in 2028. Project management and engineering will be led from Subsea7's office in Istanbul, Türkiye, with work commencing immediately.

This award further reinforces Subsea7's long-standing presence in the region and its commitment to supporting the safe and efficient delivery of critical offshore energy infrastructure.

We’re excited to share that Subsea7, together with Afiniti, has been named a Class Winner for Best Engagement Programme at the 2026 IoIC - Institute of Internal Communication Awards for 'How a Digital Dog Inspired People to Love Our Data'.

At the heart of the campaign was Data Dog, an animated mascot created to make data governance more engaging, relatable and memorable for our people. Through creative storytelling, Data Dog helped bring key data behaviours to life, encouraging colleagues to think differently about data, recognise it as a trusted strategic asset, and strengthen data governance practices across our business.

Our Communications and IT teams were also recognised with an Award of Excellence in the Most Innovative Content Creation category for our Cyber September campaign, 'Your Ears vs. AI: Can You Trust Yourself?'. The shortlisted campaign challenged colleagues to consider the growing capabilities of AI and the importance of staying vigilant against emerging cyber threats, including impersonation technologies such as audio deepfakes.

With nearly 300 entries to this year’s awards, we’re proud to see the creativity and impact behind the programme recognised by the IoIC.

We're pleased to share that Subsea7 has been shortlisted for two categories at the 2026 IoIC - Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) Awards.

Our Communications and IT teams have been recognised in the Most Innovative Content Creation category for our Cyber September campaign, "Your Ears vs. AI: Can You Trust Yourself?"; meanwhile, in the Best Engagement Programme category, our Data Governance team has been nominated with our delivery partner Afiniti for "How a Digital Dog Inspired People to Love Our Data".

The campaigns challenged colleagues to think differently about the growing role of AI and the importance of staying vigilant against emerging cyber threats, while also encouraging our people to view data as a trusted, strategic asset and strengthen data governance practices across the business.

We're looking forward to attending the awards ceremony tomorrow evening and celebrating the creativity and impact of internal communications across our industry.

Join Subsea7 at SPT London 2026 on 15-16 September, where our pipeline experts will be sharing insights from some of the industry's most challenging offshore projects and emerging technologies.

On Tuesday 15 September at 14:00, Senior Functional Manager, Nikolaos Chatzimanolis, will present Session 3, 'Subsea intervention for residual curvature sections to promote lateral buckling in ultra-deepwater offshore Brazil'.

Later that day, at 17:10, Carlos Charnaux, GPC Engineering Functional Director, will moderate the roundtable discussion, 'AI in the World of Offshore Pipelines'. The session will explore the practical applications of artificial intelligence across pipeline engineering, including concept and FEED optimisation, FEA-driven verification and the role of digital twins in supporting operational integrity and future design improvements.

On Wednesday 16 September at 12:10, Marina Skadins, Pipeline Group Discipline Lead in Rio, will present Session 7, 'Multi-structure deployment in ultra-deepwater offshore Brazil: technical challenges and strategic lessons from Bacalhau'.

These presentations demonstrate how Subsea7 continues to apply engineering expertise, innovation and project experience to address complex offshore challenges and make possible the delivery of lower carbon oil and gas.
