Our Centre at Sutton Gate will be closed for two weeks during building work 🏗️👷‍♀️ During this time we'll continue to support you by phone and email and many of our events will be running online or locally. Also, if you want to see a member of the team face to face we'll be running a drop-in service Sutton Council Civic Offices. Please keep a look out on our website and social for any updates.

Carers Trust is well over halfway to 1,000 signatures and we need your help to get there.

MP, Vikki Slade, is championing a bill in Parliament calling for a Young Carer Champion in every school in England, helping ensure young carers can access the support they need.

And it could change the lives of hundreds of thousands of children.
Here's what we know:

▪ 56% of schools recorded no young carers on the 2026 school census. Not because they aren't there, but because without a Champion, they stay hidden.
▪ Young carers are more than twice as likely to be suspended as their peers (DfE 2026)
▪ Nearly a quarter will spend over 18 months out of education, employment or training Milburn Report, 2026)

One trained member of staff in every school changes that. In schools where a Young Carer Champion is already in place, attendance increases by 10 days every year.

There are over 700 signatures, but we need 1,000 for the first milestone, and many more beyond that 🩷

Ryan Neuro Therapy Centre are offering a free 8-week falls prevention programme designed to help Sutton Council residents improve confidence, balance and independence. Each week includes a 50-minute exercise class, followed by helpful education topics in a small, supportive group led by specialist physiotherapists.

This week an awesome group of YCs went on a residential trip with Honeypot! That means no phones, devices, sweets, or sugary drinks; just embracing the outdoors! Whether it's raft building or go karting everyone had an absolute blast! Thanks so much to The Honeypot Children's Charity for such a fantastic time!
