🌍✨ LANGUAGES UNITE! ✨🌍

Today we’re celebrating the European Day of Languages and all the wonderful languages that make our nursery community so special! 🗣️💬❤️

Learning languages from an early age is a wonderful gift. It encourages curiosity, builds confidence and helps children discover that there are so many different ways to communicate, connect and see the world. 🌎✨

We are incredibly proud of our nursery’s linguistic diversity. Many of our children speak two or more languages, and between our staff team we speak an amazing 13 languages! 👏🌍

Our full-time Spanish teacher 🇪🇸❤️ is very dynamic 💃🏻 😍! We truly appreciate the value of learning Spanish — and the joy, opportunities and intercultural understanding that come from learning other languages too.

From hola to bonjour, ciao to hello — every language brings something special to our community! 🌈

Being multilingual is something to celebrate, and we love seeing our children share their languages, teach each other new words and proudly show us a little more about their cultures and families. 🥰

🌿🐾 FOREST SCHOOL FUN! 🌳🍂

Who needs fancy toys when you have sticks, mud, leaves, logs and woodlands to explore?! 😂

Our little explorers absolutely LOVE Forest School! 🌱 They get to run, climb, investigate, collect treasures, get a little muddy and—most importantly—just be children in nature. 💚

There’s something special about watching them outdoors: big smiles, curious minds and wonderfully relaxed little faces. 🌞🌿 They’re learning without even realising it—building confidence, independence, teamwork and a lifelong connection with the natural world.

And yes… we may occasionally send them home looking like they’ve survived a small woodland expedition. 🫣😂🌳

💛 Little beginnings, BIG EMOTIONS… 🥹

🤗 We’ve welcomed many beautiful new babies and toddlers into our nursery family recently. 🧸✨❤️

Starting nursery is such a big step — for little ones and their parents. There may be a few tears at first, but with cuddles, comfort, patience and lots of love, we’re already seeing little smiles, growing confidence and happy moments shine through. 🌱🥰

We’re also delighted to have welcomed some wonderful new members to our team, meaning we have a limited number of spaces available for families looking to join us. 💕

✨ Where curiosity leads,

There is something wonderful about watching a child become completely fascinated by a resource. The concentration, the questions, the little moments of trial and error—and that look of pride when they discover something for themselves. 💡

Through experiences like these, children are developing far more than we might realise:

🌱 confidence and independence
🧠 problem-solving and critical thinking
🤲 fine motor skills and coordination
💬 language through conversation and questioning
✨ curiosity, concentration and a genuine love of learning

At our nursery, we believe children learn best when they are given time, encouragement and inspiring opportunities to explore what interests them. Sometimes the smallest question can lead to the biggest discovery.

🌱 Is your child really ready for school? 🎒

School readiness isn’t just about knowing the alphabet, counting to 20 or writing their name. ❤️

There are so many other skills that help children feel confident when they start school:

👟 having a go at getting dressed and putting on shoes
🗣️ being able to communicate their needs and ideas
🤝 sharing, taking turns and playing alongside others
👂 listening and following simple instructions
😊 recognising and managing big feelings
🧩 concentrating on an activity for a short period
🚽 becoming more independent with toileting and self-care
💪 most importantly… having the confidence to try!

At nursery, these everyday moments are valuable learning opportunities. Through play, routines, stories, friendships and gentle encouragement, children are building the skills they need for their next big adventure. 🌈

And remember — every child develops at their own pace. There is no single checklist that every child needs to tick before starting school. 💛
