📖 What a fantastic National Poetry Week we have had! 📖

🍂 The Y1 children began by sorting books into fiction and non-fiction before exploring what a poem is and what makes it special. We then discovered the poem Six Ways of Looking at a Leaf, using real leaves to explore and sort them using different criteria. The children then took their leaves ‘for a walk to the park’ and created wonderful poems about what their leaves could see, hear and feel. 🍂

A fantastic week of hands-on learning, creativity and imagination!
