Apologies for lack of updates, what a busy few months! My children are off to school for the last day of term and over the summer there will be a few changes at Michelle Wall Artist HQ - I'm taking on a new school based role in September!
Workshops will still be running and all the creativity will continue, just perhaps on a reduced basis. Hopefully I'll even have time to keep this page updated ☺️

Had a great time at Bilton CA over the past 3 Tuesdays as part of Cultural Spring Summer Programme - we've made our our Matchbox Books, Musical Instruments and tonight we built Marble Runs. Thanks for having me everyone, hope to come back and create again soon!

Wow! What a busy week 😀 Sorry it's been so quiet on here, so much creativity, not enough time to write about it! Here's a whistle stop catch up -
We had the last week of the current Crafty Cuppa Class at Sunderland Carers' Centre and put some final work together for our mini exhibition, which took place the centre's Garden Party last Friday as part of the Carers Week celebrations. It was wonderful to see so many Crafty Carers, past and present showing their work off and a pleasure to be part of it. Lots of new recruits too, so hopefully a new course will be running in September, watch this space!
This week I've been to University of Sunderland Art Degree shows with a group of Year 9's from Thornhill, had a great time, some wonderful talent and it was lovely to show some of the possible pathways to the GCSE students.
I ran my first 'Make your Own' Cultural Spring workshops at Bilton CA we made Matchbox Books, it was great family activity with lots of parents and children taking part - looking forward to next week's Musical Instruments!
I had the pleasure of attending Thornhill School's Art Exhibition, my niece had work on show and my eldest daughter exhibited too through her primary school partnership. The work on show was wonderful, lots of talented and creative students!
And finally, I've been helping students at Ovingham Middle School create some graffiti art this month, cannot wait to show the results of this!

Or join musician Sam Burt at Bilton Hall Community Trust - aka Low Simonside CA 7pm - 8.30pm and learn how to play the guitar and ukulele.

Just received a message from Victoria, one of my Crafty Carers. After being a bit nervous about trying watercolours for the first time last week, she really enjoyed it. This weekend Victoria picked up some supplies of her own and created this art work and in her words 'I love watercolours!'
Well done Victoria, so happy you've found a medium you enjoy and it looks fantastic, you're a natural!

Origami Bookmarks with Young Carers this morning 😊

Watercolour Week with my Crafty Carers - another fantastic session, well done everyone! ☺️

Had a lovely day with our Young Carers today, we made Origami Butterflies 🦋 filled with dreams and aspirations. They are currently flying in Sunderland Carers' Centre, but will soon be part of a new display at our Saturday centre 😊
