☘️Dance & Be Kind☘️
You can try to be the very best in class,
Have the feet, the look, the poise.
You can try to jump higher, move fast but Alas! Without kindness the rest is really just noise.
You can try to be the smartest, the funniest girl or boy.
You can try to be the most popular too,
Yet, if you forget to be kind, your heart is merely blind,
So, please be kind in everything you say and do.
You can try to be the Winner then just expect it again,
Forget to be humble in victory and defeat,
No gratitude or smile for those who helped all the while,
Choose Kindness before choosing conceit.
You can try to block others, unfriend and ignore,
Look down on them for being unique.
Who are you to glare, Be Kind, play fair,
There may come a time it’s their friendship you seek.
You can try to be Kind to others today,
You can be mindful, kindness knows no ends.
As you tie your dancing shoes, close you eyes, shake the blues,
Be kind to yourself and to all your Dance friends.
