🏃‍♂️✨ Sunderland School Games Primary PE & School Sport Conference 2024/2025 ✨🏃‍♀️

What a fantastic day of energy, inspiration and celebration at our most recent conference. 💥

We kicked off the conference with a physical and engaging start at the Marketplace 🏋️—setting the tone for a day filled with movement, networking and excitement.

🎤 The morning continued with a variety of insightful and knowledgeable speakers as well as some hands-on physical activity sessions that had everyone up and moving! 🏈

After a refuel at lunch 🍽️, the afternoon brought even more inspiration with our guest speaker and youth voice, both of whom shared stories and strategies to motivate and empower. 💪

🏆 We ended on a high with our Annual Awards Presentation celebrating excellence in PE & school sport, followed by our ever-popular raffle 🎟️🎉

Huge thank you to EVERYONE who made it a day to remember, from our speakers, deliverers, marketplace holders and of course the staff on the ground in our primary schools.! 🙌

Such a fantastic day today at our T1 rugby megafest. The event truly was "A game for everyone, played by anyone."

With over 180 pupils from our Sunderland primary schools in attendance, we placed the emphasis on fun, fitness and inclusion, all whilst ensuring we provided a welcoming and safe environment for people of all abilities and backgrounds to get involved.

A big thank you to Vigor.Rugby for running the event, alongside the assistance of the sports leaders from Sunderland college.

Today was a great day for some of our Sunderland Primary schools working alongside Majesticks as part of the North East Little Sticks Festival ⛳️

It was a fantastic opportunity for our young people to experience Golf in a fun environment.

We were also lucky enough to spend time with professional golfer Lee Westwood.

We kicked off the 2025-2026 Sunderland School Games events today with our Health and Wellbeing Festival for Year 4 students. It was great to see 14 of our primary schools in attendance as they got to participate in a range of fantastic activities such as; Yoga, Futsal, VX, Tennis, Archery, Dodgeball, Curling, Gymnastics and more.

A huge shout out to some of our external deliverers today - Active Sunderland, Brazilian Soccer School, Everyone Active, AAA Sports, Kalma Life and VX International
