WHAM Theatre Schools

✨ It’s Black History Month, and we’re marking it by celebrating the people whose talent, courage and creativity have helped shape the performing arts.

The official UK theme for 2026 is “Honouring Our Communities”, recognising the people whose everyday contributions help communities grow and thrive.

Throughout October, we’ll be sharing simple, warm stories about inspiring Black performers, creatives and theatre companies whose talent and courage changed the performing arts, and opened doors for everyone who followed. Keep an eye out, and we hope you enjoy discovering them with us.

We hope you’ll follow along with us, and we’d love to hear from you too. Is there a performer your child loves? Share their name in the comments! 🎭
