A heartfelt thank you to all our pupils, parents, and carers who generously donated Mother’s Day gifts in support of the Love, Amelia This ensures that local families receive a thoughtful treat during what can be a difficult time for many. We know that every contribution is truly appreciated whether it be toiletry sets or chocolates or make‑up. Every bit of support makes a difference and we are incredibly grateful not only for the support of this charitable initiative but also for the wonderful Argyle House school community.

World Book Day was a joyous celebration at Argyle House School. Our littlest pupils, our senior students and all the teachers embraced the chance to dress up as their favourite fictional character!

Throughout the day, books were celebrated, stories were shared and a love of reading was promoted.

From 3 years old, our pre schoolers enjoy weekly swimming lessons

At Argyle House School, we value the strong relationships that we build with our pupils' and students' parents, carers and families. Recently, our Pre School and Reception classes were thrilled to welcome their beloved mummies and daddies into school for a Valentine themed Stay and Play session. The children decorated heart wreaths, made friendship bracelets, played number games and wrote special love notes for their loved ones! Everyone agreed it was a very love filled Stay and Play and we were delighted so many parents were able to join us!

The little ones at Argyle House School's Little Crickets, Sunderland nursery loved their recent Valentine's Day celebrations! As Nursery Manager, Mrs Donna Blackmore summarised this particular crafting activity:

"Little hands and big hearts, spreading love and giggles!"

At Argyle House School's Little Crickets Nursery, the pre school and Reception classes recently enjoyed ‘Big Box Friday’. During this lesson, the children explored the boxes and ways they can be reused. They came up with some fantastic ideas such as a; hamster home, doll's house and a monster’s head! The children got to grips with using a range of tools and had the best time simply playing inside the boxes!

In the pre school class, we have been learning all about the number "5". The children have been counting to 5 and as well as practicing how to form it which they are doing very successfully!

Recent visitors to Argyle House School's Little Crickets Sunderland nursery discovery session enjoyed a cosy story time and an exploration of the newly opened and modernised facilities.
Spring Story Time takes place on Friday 6th March between 10 - 11am and provides the perfect opportunity for prospective families to discover Little Crickets' Sunderland. Since Argyle House School's Little Crickets Nursery received successful Ofsted accreditation, our early years practitioners have been settling in our new starters. We are thrilled that these littlest members of the AHS community are flourishing in their new environment. Not only are they making the most of their newly opened age appropriate rooms but they are also exploring further afield including utilising the school sports hall as their very own soft play centre!
