Travelling with your dog in warm weather? A little planning can make the journey safer and more comfortable.
Before you set off, keep these essentials in mind:
- Cool the car first and keep it well ventilated throughout the journey.
- Travel at cooler times of day where possible, especially for longer trips.
- Pack plenty of fresh water and offer it regularly during stops.
- Plan breaks along the way so your dog can rest, stretch and cool down.
- Choose shaded places to stop and be mindful of hot pavements.
- Never leave your dog alone in a vehicle, even briefly.
- Keep an eye on behaviour and act quickly if your dog seems unsettled, unusually tired or overheated.
If it doubt, it's best to avoid travel with your dogs on hot dogs where possible.

🌞 Fun Agility Cancelled This Evening 🐾
With the warm weather continuing, we have made the decision to cancel this evening’s Fun Agility session.
Unlike Monday’s pet dog training, agility is a high-energy activity requiring plenty of running, jumping, and physical exertion for both dogs and handlers alike and so, mixed with the warm weather, we feel cancelling agility is an appropriate & sensible decision to make.
We know many of you were looking forward to this evening, and we appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday and at the next Fun Agility session which will be on Wednesday 12th August 🐶💙
