Sorry for being so quiet!

I have just finished ‘A Little Life’ and I am gobsmacked.. I think I need a week to digest how gutwrenching this novel is and I’ll be back with a review 👀

I’m mixing it up this month and have given myself the challenge of write one poem a day - which so far, I have stuck to!

Bit silly when I am drowning in marking, but hey ho’, I’ve always been a great procrastinator🤣🤍

‘It’s just a book’ > A Little Life.

I am currently 157 pages into A Little Life and have found that the first 50 pages can seem slow. Hanya Yanagihara introduces you slowly to the characters and makes you comfortable with their New York life before beginning to rip your tiny (and what feels like) insignificant heart out 🤣

So far my thoughts are: how much can poor Jude take?

Somehow, I think I am every one of these🤣
