Fascinating Walk and Talk by Elizabeth Poraj-Wilczynska www.lizpw.co.uk at Crickley Hill recently, referencing the archaeological finds in the immediate area, including this, 'the Birdlip Mirror' which was found in 1879 at Barrow Wake and dated to 50-100 BC.... With Liz's guidance we were able to locate through dowsing the residual energies various structures that have been excavated in the recent past....

Thank you to all that attended our Introduction to Dowsing course on Saturday 15 August.

We covered a wide range of dowsing related applications from food and plants to earth energies and water. We also looked at dowsing the energy of our aura....

On Wednesday 12 August 2026 the UK sees its deepest solar eclipse since 2015 — and its deepest since 1999 in the far south-west — with about 91% of the Sun's area covered from London, rising to roughly 96% in Cornwall. The eclipse begins just after 6.15pm BST, peaks a little after 7pm and ends by about 8.10pm, with the Sun low in the west.

Ancient civilisations went to great efforts to track such events for many reasons. For some an eclipse signifies and enables a heightened connection between the physical world and the spiritual realm, allowing for greater intuition, guidance, and awareness of unseen energies.

As dowsers, we have a unique opportunity to experience this for ourselves in the UK. The next total eclipse will be in 2090!

Gloucester Field Trip - 19 August from 6.30pm

Our recent visits to a historic building on Eastgate Street, Gloucester provided valuable insights for local dowsers. The energies had notably shifted between visits.

By kind invitation of the owner we are visiting a cleared brownfield site on Southgate Street, Gloucester on Wednesday 19th August from 6.30 pm. This should provide an opportunity to practice archaeological and historical dowsing, amongst other aspects of dowsing.

If you are interested in attending or have a site that you would like dowsed, then do get in touch. Places will be limited.

Formed in 1933, the British Society of Dowsers is the leading organisation in the UK for dowsers and exists to encourage the study and enhance the knowledge of dowsing in all its forms amongst members and the public.

Well / Spring Space

Wells and Springs have a particular significance in places like Gloucestershire, at May Day.

Here is a Spring and Well which appears to orientate to the sunset on the summer solstice before it passes behind a hill opposite. The energetic feel of the area around the Well changes completely after sunset in the Twilight.... very special.
