At De Jong Academy, we understand that education is about more than just lessons. Sometimes, pupils need additional support to help them feel confident, communicate effectively and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Our wider support can include:

🧠 MYTH BUSTER

“If a pupil looks fine, they don’t need checking in on.” ❌

It’s easy to assume that a pupil who looks happy, settled and confident is doing okay, but we can’t always see what’s going on beneath the surface.

💬 Every pupil deserves to be checked in on.

A simple “How are you doing?” can give a young person the opportunity to talk, ask for help or simply know that someone is there to listen.

At De Jong Academy, we believe regular check-ins, open conversations and feeling heard all matter. 💙

At De Jong Academy, we offer placements for KS3 & KS4 pupils who may benefit from a different approach to learning.
