What a brilliant start to the new school year at Meon Vale! 💙

It was wonderful to see our children coming through the gates this morning looking so smart, happy and ready for the year ahead. The school has been full of smiles, excitement and lots of fantastic learning! 📚✨

A huge well done to our Nursery and Reception children, who were absolutely amazing on their first day. We’re so proud of how confidently they settled in and can’t wait to see them continue their Meon Vale journey. 🌟

We’ve also welcomed lots of new children and families across the school today. We’re delighted to have you as part of the Meon Vale community and hope you already feel at home. 💙

🎉 That’s a wrap on another fantastic year at Tudor Grange Primary Academy Meon Vale! 🎉

As we reach the end of another school year, we want to say a huge thank you to our incredible children, dedicated staff, supportive families and wider community. Together, you’ve made this another memorable year filled with learning, laughter, achievements and countless special moments.

A particularly emotional farewell goes to our wonderful Year 6 pupils. As our very first Year 6 cohort, you have been part of the Meon Vale story from the very beginning. Many of you started your journey with us in the portacabins and have grown alongside the school itself. You have helped shape the community we are today, and we couldn’t be prouder of the young people you have become.

You leave us with friendships, memories and experiences that will stay with you forever. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we know you are more than ready for the exciting adventures that lie ahead. We wish every one of you the very best as you begin the next chapter of your journey.

This term has been full of celebrations, from sports events and performances to our fantastic Meon’s Got Talent, transition activities and a truly special Leavers’ Assembly. It has been a wonderful way to end the year.

We also say farewell to two valued members of staff. Mr Lea and Mr Greygoose have both made a positive contribution to life at Meon Vale, and we thank them for everything they have done for our children and school community. We wish them every success and happiness as they begin their new adventures.

To everyone returning in September, we can’t wait to welcome you back. We have lots of exciting plans for the year ahead and look forward to continuing to grow together.

For now, have a fantastic summer. Take time to relax, make wonderful memories with family and friends, stay safe, and enjoy every moment.

We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the School Games Silver Award, recognising our commitment to providing high-quality physical activity, sport and competition opportunities for all of our pupils.

As PE Lead, I am incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication shown by our staff team. Throughout the year, teachers and support staff have gone above and beyond to promote active lifestyles, encourage participation and create opportunities for every child to enjoy being physically active.
Most importantly, this award reflects the fantastic attitude of our children. They have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and represented our school with pride. Their engagement in PE, extracurricular activities and competitions has been truly inspiring.

This year, we have also been able to attend more sporting competitions than ever before. This would not have been possible without the support of our parents and families, who have helped with transport and made it easier for children to access these valuable experiences. Thank you for your continued support.

We are also grateful to our external provider, Fitt4Kids, who have helped us broaden the range of activities available to our pupils. Through their support, children have enjoyed exciting clubs such as archery, axe throwing and tri-golf, allowing them to develop new skills and discover activities they may never have experienced before.

Achieving the School Games Silver Award is a fantastic accomplishment and one that we are all incredibly proud of.
We look forward to building on this success and can't wait to see what opportunities and achievements the next academic year will bring!

We had an amazing time yesterday taking part in a fantastic Rock Steady Music Workshop at school! The children were given the opportunity to explore different instruments and experience the excitement of making music as a team.

A huge thank you to Ben from Rock Steady for delivering such an engaging and inspiring workshop.

A group of pupils from school visited Rail Live at the Rail Innovation Centre last week. During their visit, they took part in a variety of engaging and hands-on activities. These included tackling an exciting engineering challenge, exploring the history of the railway, trying their hand at painting yellow road lines and building their own computerised track systems. They also had the opportunity to see cutting-edge technology in action, including the latest developments in robotic dogs and humanoid robots.

A huge thank you to everyone at Primary Engineer for providing such an inspiring and educational experience.
