Year 1 have been busy writing descriptions recently. Theyโre getting really good at choosing interesting adjectives! Last week, they designed aliens and wrote character descriptions. This week, they designed planets for their aliens and are learning to write setting descriptions. So focussed and creative - fantastic! ๐๐

We are so very proud of Adam in Year 3!
At the weekend, whilst he was looking for rocks as part of his homework, Adam was very sad about the amount of litter he saw while walking. With help from his mum, Adam went for another walk the next morning, armed with a litter picker and an admirable amount of determination to pick up as much litter as he could! Great job, Adam! What a fantastic role model for us all! ๐๐

Emma, in Year 4, came to see Miss Suhail this morning with bird houses she made at home!
Emma was inspired by Miss Suhailโs assembly last week, where the children were told of the Big Schoolsโ Birdwatch 2024 and how we are trying to find out which birds visit our school grounds. In order to encourage visits from birds, Emma took it upon herself to build and paint brightly coloured bird houses which will be placed on the school grounds. We are sure the bright colours chosen by Emma will invite as many birds to the school as possible! Great initiative shown by Emma whose efforts earned her 50 house points for Elm! ๐๐
