The final Moss Safari Monthly blog is now up.

For five months, we returned to the same small world in moss, looking for the Microscopic Big Five and thinking about how we observe the living world.

This final session was about witnessing: watching without taking, observing without needing all the answers, and noticing how life in moss carries on whether we are looking or not.

We found sleeping and feeding rotifers, nematodes, testate amoebae, algae, single-celled organisms and, beautifully, a star-shaped tardigrade egg to bring the series full circle.

Moss is easy to walk past. But under a microscope, it becomes a landscape full of movement, survival, beauty and surprise.
