That phrase — “working below age related expectations” — can sting when you see it in a school report.

But it doesn’t mean your child isn’t trying or isn’t capable.

Sometimes, it’s a clue.

A child who’s bright, curious, and full of ideas may still struggle with reading, writing, or spelling — not because they’re not smart, but because their brain processes language differently.

👉 It could be dyslexia.

Dyslexia is more common than most people realise, and often misunderstood. But with the right support, children with dyslexia can thrive.
