The Year 11 Mocks are just over 4 weeks away. What is the best way to prepare for Mathsโฆ

โช๏ธ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐ญ: Obvious โ Past Papers show you exactly what is expected. If you complete past papers independently at home โ there will be no surprises on exam day. Past Papers ensure that you are attempting questions at the right level.
โช๏ธ ๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐: Use MathsWatch: https://vle.mathswatch.co.uk/vle/ We are setting 1 paper per week on MathsWatch in the run up to the Mock. There are already 2 available and the uptake on those is promising so far. MathsWatch live marks the paper for you and tells you when you have reached each grade boundary. This is fantastic to understand how to reach each grade level. The papers set on MathsWatch are exact replicas of the real thing, just with numbers altered. These papers are not easy, they will take 90mins to complete and pen and paper will be crucial.
โช๏ธ ๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐: Use Maths Genie: https://old.mathsgenie.co.uk/papers.php If you prefer the physical copies of these papers then you can download and print them from Maths Genie. Like MathsWatch, every paper since 2017 is available. The Maths Department will not be providing physical copies of papers until the new year. If you choose to use the physical copies, I highly recommend marking the papers using the answers which are available from the same link above. Using Maths Genie is an excellent way to prepare, but of course, it is not easy work.

โช๏ธ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐ญ:The Revision List is now out so you now know exactly which topics you need to know in the Mocks. Yes, there are lots of topics. 240 marks worth. So be smart with which topics you select and with how many topics you select. This selection is independent for each student. In essence: Aim to select the right number for your capacity, at the appropriate level for your ability (not too easy, not too hard).

Then complete a selection of the interactive questions. This is your opportunity to make a very big difference in your grade.

A very good website is Corbett Maths https://corbettmaths.com/contents/ or you can use revision guides, workbooks, You Tube or any means to learn and practice the topic. I do believe MathsWatch would be the most efficient and effective method to revise topic by topic.
