The third Sunday of Lent💜

On International Women’s Day, CAFOD ask us to pray for women across the world💜

Gracious God,
we pray for women in the world,
who show resilience in the face of challenges,
who care for others and our common home,
who show both service and leadership.
Amen.

Today’s Gospel focuses on a conversation between Jesus and a Samaritan woman; he engages with her and reveals himself to be the Messiah💜

He trusts that she will see past all that divides their two communities. In response, she becomes an evangelist, abandoning her water jug to rush off and tell her neighbours the good news💜

Help us spread the Good News with our almsgiving this term💜 We are fundraising for CAFOD and Father Hudson’s Caritas💜

God of light and power,
You sent your Son Jesus to show us how to live our lives💜
Help us to recognise him in all people we meet and to take action to change the world for the better💜
