Learning and development organisation working with young people and adults to deliver engaging quality life learning

10/06/2026

Last week we finished our first set of learning modules and started our practical activity! 🎉

This was such a fun milestone for both Level 2 and Entry level learners, when you get to put your learning into practice.🙌

Our tasks are about creating podcasts- lots of discussion around this, ideas, topics and viewpoints to share!

The conversations are amazing to witness, our Level 2 group discussed their topic and chose internet safety, focusing on the recent Social media ban discussions- their view points were amazing to hear - (I am actually hoping to turn this into a real podcast!! 😁)
The Entry Level group are looking at Home Education resources! 🥰

New groups starting in September, comment below if you would like more information.

Just in the last week I have been contacted by so many parents who have made the huge decision to take their child out of school and begin home education. If this is you, I want you to know something important, you are not on your own!

This decision isn’t easy, it’s emotional, it’s overwhelming, and it often comes with a lot of noise from people who think they know better. But you listened to the one voice that truly matters, your child’s. You put their needs, their wellbeing, and their future at the centre of your choice. That takes courage! 🥰

Being in this community for a while now, I understand home education was once seen as a lifestyle choice, something families opted into because it suited their values or routines. But the landscape is changing, more and more parents are finding themselves here not because it was their first choice, but because it was their last resort, its become a necessity, the only way to ensure their child can actually thrive, learn, and succeed. The All Ways Learning approach leans into those historic roots: a commitment to listening to the child’s voice, exploring learning together, and nurturing curiosity rather than recreating school at home, providing flexible, child‑led learning, while still ensuring outcomes are achieved in ways that make sense to each learner and lead to meaningful qualifications.

And while it shouldn’t fall on families to take on the full responsibility of educating their children, the reality is that many feel they have no other option. That doesn’t make you a failure, it makes you strong! 💪

So to every parent who has taken this step:
Well done for noticing the signs, well done for trusting your instincts.
well done for choosing your child over the pressure, the judgement, and the expectations of others.

You are doing something brave, something loving, and something that will shape your child’s future in ways you may not even see yet. I'm excited to hear about how your journeys unfold! 😁

Remember... You are not alone, and you’re doing an incredible job! 🥰

🤩Launching in September! 🤩

Ensuring our young people are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need for the future they choose is what we do. This is delivered through engaging and meaningful learning that suits them and delivers a real impact for them.

These are the pathways we believe will provide not only the skills, but the qualifications to support them into their next step!

🌟 Massive congratulations to one of our learners who has officially PASSED their Functional Skills English! 🌟

One of our amazing learners has just passed their Functional Skills English, and we could not be prouder. They have been studying at college, however were not getting the support they needed.

With the right approach, understanding and a learning style that actually works for them, they have absolutely smashed it!!

They are now able to move onto the progression course next year with confidence and a qualification earned through sheer determination.

This is what happens when young people are given the support they deserve.
Well done! You’ve earned every bit of this success!

Yesterday was some much needed time with my boy, we visited KIX FC new home ed club where we found a set up of my favourite child hood game!! 😁

I had already showed him the joys of Kerby last summer, so we were able to have a great game, where he said I should enter a tournament as I am that good, then to my surprise I found one!!

So, im intrigued, who has played this? Is anyone up for joining us for a game!? 😆

What do you do at Pokémon club!?

All things Pokémon.... Play cards, play switch games, trade, create and share Pokémon theories, play 'guess that Pokémon!' Just have fun with a shared interest.

The activities are led by the group, they decide together what they want to do, sometimes different activities in one night!

If you know of young person local to Stoke On Trent that is interested in Pokemon, please come and try out our very friendly group, age range is around 10 to 16 currently, however younger and older are welcome!
