KIDS’ CLUB

We would like to remind parents of the importance of booking their child's place in Kids’ Club for both morning and afternoon sessions whenever childcare is required.

Recently, we have experienced situations where children have arrived at Kids’ Club without a booking having been made. This can cause concern for staff, particularly at the end of the school day, when a child arrives unexpectedly and we have not been informed that they are due to attend. In these circumstances, staff may worry that there has been a misunderstanding regarding collection arrangements or that something unforeseen has happened to the person expected to collect the child.

It is essential that all sessions are booked in advance so that we can:

• Ensure we have the correct staffing ratios in place to meet safeguarding requirements
• Plan appropriately for the number of children attending
• Provide sufficient food and refreshments for all children
• Maintain accurate registers and ensure children are accounted for at all times

In addition, if your child is attending an after-school club before coming to Kids’ Club, please ensure that Kids’ Club staff are informed in advance. This enables us to make sure that a snack is saved for them and that staff know to expect their arrival later in the session.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to provide a safe, well-organised and enjoyable provision for all children. If you have any questions regarding bookings or attendance, please do not hesitate to contact the school office or Kids’ Club staff.
