Bee Active Childcare at Alsagers Bank

This week at Bee Active Nursery, our holiday-themed activities have been full of fun and learning! 🌊🍦

The children enjoyed an ocean-themed tuff tray, made their own ice cream, matched numbers to quantities, and explored colour mixing through ice cream-themed activities. A fantastic week of creativity, discovery, and hands-on learning! 💙🐝

Bee Active loved running, climbing, exploring, and enjoying lots of outdoor adventures with their friends.

Outdoor play helps develop physical skills, confidence, communication, and a love of nature…all while having lots of fun! 🐝

We're back open on Monday after a lovely half term break and feeling refreshed, ready for our final term before the summer holidays! A huge welcome back to all our children and families - we can't wait to see you all. ☀️🐝

We are so proud to have raised £100 for our nursery through our penalty shootout fundraiser - thank you to everyone who joined in and supported us! 💛🐝

We also loved taking part in our very first Bee Active Sports Day alongside our friends at Alsagers Bank Primary Academy. The children had such a fantastic time showing off their skills, cheering each other on, and making wonderful memories together! 🌟

Today the children enjoyed making healthy fruit smoothies! 🍓🍌🥝

This fun activity supported all seven areas of learning including covering communication, maths, fine motor skills, teamwork, and understanding healthy eating. All children loved exploring different fruits, textures, colours, and flavours while developing their independence and confidence.

A lovely hands-on learning experience for our little Bees! 🐝

This week We explored colours through our Elmer activities. Some children named colours, some listened to the sounds in the colour words, and some had fun predicting what new colours would appear when we mixed colours together 🎨✨

Lots of fun, curiosity, and learning through play for everyone. 🌈🐘

Bee active have had lots of fun getting ready for our Teddy Bears’ Picnic! We made our own headbands, practised writing our names, enjoyed Cosmic Yoga, and learnt the Makaton sign for Teddy Bears’ Picnic. 🧸

We also had a lovely picnic outside, listening to the sounds around us and talking about our favourite teddies we brought into nursery. ☀️🌳

🔥 International Firefighters’ Day 2026 🔥

Bee active have been learning all about the important role firefighters play in keeping us safe. The children explored what firefighters do, how they help in emergencies, and why their job is so important.

We also practiced learning the emergency service number and talked about when it’s important to call for help. A fun and educational day, helping our little learners understand bravery, safety, and how we can all help in an emergency. 🚒

We’ve been making the most of the beautiful sunshine at nursery, our little busy bees have loved being outdoors ☀️🐝
