As our Year 6 children wrap up their SATs week, we want to share a huge heartfelt thank you to Rev. Jonathan, Sophie and the St. Peter’s team for their incredible support.
Every morning this week, the children were greeted with more than just a delicious breakfast. They were met with warmth and smiles that calmed those morning nerves, providing the essential fuel for both their bodies and minds.
This wonderful gesture filled our Year 6s with the courage and determination needed to walk into those rooms and simply do their best. We are so blessed to have such a supportive community right on our doorstep.
Also, a special thank you to the members of the St Peter’s community who donated £5 to sponsor a child’s breakfast.

Pre-School and Reception had a wonderful time learning all about Fire Safety. 🚒
They learnt how to call 999 📞 and ‘stop, drop and roll’ in an emergency.
The amazing Fire Safety Education Co-Ordinator Chris Powell also expressed how important it is to check our smoke alarms regularly and recommended checking them every month.
This is your reminder to check yours! 🚒

To our wonderful Year 6 children:
The papers are ready, the clock starts to tick,
But remember the secrets that no one can pick.
You’re more than a score or a mark on a page,
You’re the stars of the school, kings and queens of the stage.
Resilience is built when the questions get tough,
You’ve practiced and prepared, and you’ve got the right stuff.
If a challenge appears, take a breath, get yourself steady,
Trust in your brain - it is sharp, it is ready.
You’ve shown us maturity, growing so fast,
From your very first day, it’ll soon be your last.
With courage in hand, hold your head high and proud,
Your light is a spark that stands out from the crowd.
So read every line and then give it your best,
But know that a person is more than a test.
When the final pen drops and the papers are closed,
Your brilliance is something that’s already known.

Year 1 have had a fantastic day at Sudbury Toy Museum! 🧸✨
The children loved exploring the different exhibits, discovering toys from the past, and sharing their excitement with friends. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the day.
They represented the school brilliantly with their excellent behaviour and positive attitudes. Well done, Year 1! 👏😊

He is risen… ✝️
Happy Easter to our beautiful children, friends and families. 🌸 🐣 🌸

Today at St Peter’s, something truly special happened.
Our children led the Easter service with such confidence, joy, and sincerity—it was a beautiful reminder that the Easter story is not just history, but a living truth carried forward by the next generation.
Through their words and actions, they brought the story to life in a powerful and unique way—telling the historic events of Easter through the voices of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
From the Father’s great love for the world, to the Son’s sacrifice and victory over the grave, to the Holy Spirit’s presence bringing hope, comfort, and new life—the message rang out clearly and movingly.
The children helped us see Easter afresh, with wonder, honesty, and faith.
We are so proud of each and every one of them, and so grateful to everyone who supported and encouraged them along the way.
“He is not here; He has risen!”
What a joy to celebrate this truth together. 🌅

🎉 What a day! Today’s fundraising event was an absolute blast! Our whole school came together for an epic dance-off relay, and the energy was off the charts. 💃🕺
We couldn’t have done this without our amazing children and families – your enthusiasm and support made it all possible. A massive thank you to each and every one of you!
Special shout-outs to our Year 6 Worship Committee for leading the event with such spirit, our incredible IT technician for keeping the music pumping, and of course, Year 6 Dougie Mac for rocking the mascot role! 🎵🐾
We’ll share the total funds raised tomorrow, but we can already say we’ve gone beyond our expectations. Thank you all for helping make this day unforgettable! 💖

Today some of our children had the opportunity to spend a quiet and special time in reflection and prayer with members of the St Peter’s team – Reverend Jonathan, Sophie and Sam.
It was a lovely moment in the school day for the children to pause, think, and share in prayer together. We are very grateful to the St Peter’s team for visiting us and for supporting our school community in such a thoughtful and caring way.

Recorder Rockstars 🌟
The marvellous musicians in Y3 took part in the Recorder Festival at Trentham Gardens yesterday alongside many children from across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. They played their recorders with confidence, skill and most importantly, enthusiasm! 🎵 🎶
