Our pre-schoolers were delighted to discover the new pond in our nursery garden! 💦

The children helped make the pond a safe and welcoming habitat by adding pebbles and pond plants. They learned how plants help keep the water healthy and why pebbles provide a safe way for birds and other wildlife to access the pond. 🐦🌿

A wonderful hands-on learning experience, encouraging children to care for nature and the wildlife that may visit our garden. 💚🐿️

Messy play

In the early years, messy play is a fun and exciting way for children to explore, discover, and learn through their senses. Squishing, mixing, splashing, and getting messy with different textures and materials helps to spark curiosity and creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Messy play encourages children to investigate, experiment, and express themselves freely in a hands-on and enjoyable way. It also supports confidence, communication, and social development as children laugh, play, and learn together.

Sand play

Sand play is a wonderful way to support sensory exploration while also building fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and early problem-solving. Scooping, digging, and pouring help strengthen little hands and encourage curiosity through hands-on exploration.

Forest school 💐

Today at Forest School, the toddlers explored ice in the most magical way! ❄️🌸

The toddlers discovered colourful ice cubes and large chunks of ice with beautiful flowers frozen inside. Using hammers and tools, they worked carefully to break the ice and rescue the flowers hidden inside the ice blocks. 🌼🔨

Today we have been celebrating World Bee Day with some Bee inspired activities.

This morning the babies and toddlers have enjoyed some outdoor fun in the garden.
