We have been very busy over the past two weeks of the summer holidays, making the most of the sunshine and enjoying lots of exciting adventures together! 💛
Last week we headed off to explore a brand new park, where the children had so much fun climbing, balancing, running, jumping, crawling, stretching, swinging, sliding and navigating their way around the different equipment. These experiences provided fantastic opportunities to develop their gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, agility, spatial awareness, core stability, body control and confidence 🧗♀️🛝🏃♂️
We also went on a little adventure into the woods to search for The Gruffalo! 🌳🐾 The children explored their surroundings, used their imaginations and enjoyed spotting things along the way.
Then, using sticks as our very own dinosaur detective tools, we went searching for dinosaur bones! 🦖🦴 We talked about dinosaurs, fossils and how bones can be preserved for millions of years. The children even learned some fantastic new vocabulary, including the word ‘fossil’.
It has been such a lovely couple of weeks filled with outdoor adventures, imaginative play, physical challenges and lots of opportunities to learn new things through real life experiences 🌿✨
