Earlier this month we held our annual Davenport Awards Night. This evening was a perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and recognise the outstanding dedication, passion, and heart shown by our team each and every day.

These awards recognise individuals who go above and beyond every single day, live and breathe our values, and make a true difference to our children, families and team. These awards are voted for my our team and are a fantastic opportunity to truly celebrate each other. Our parent hero award is voted for by our wonderful families.

🎄✨ Festive Adventures for Our Prep School Children! ✨🎄

What a magical morning we had! Our Prep School children wrapped up warm and took the bus, full of excitement for our festive trip to the cinema. The bus journey itself was an adventure, the children spent the entire time looking out of the windows, spotting lorries, vans and Christmas lights.🌟🚌

At the cinema, the children were completely engrossed by Stickman. There were lots of smiles and laughs all around.❤️

🌟 Bake Sale Success! 🌟
We are absolutely thrilled to share that our little community has raised an amazing £281 at our bake sale in support of Macmillan Cancer Support 💚

This charity is very close to our hearts, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who rolled up their sleeves, baked with love, and came along to support the cause.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families, staff, and friends for your generosity and your endless support. 💚✨

✨Treasure Baskets: Little Objects, Big Learning! ✨
There is something so beautiful about watching little hands explore our treasure basket filled with everyday objects - books, cups, bubbles, sensory scarves, dolls... all simple items that can spark big curiosity!Treasure baskets encourage our children to explore the world using all their senses. It allows them to investigate and experiment as they touch, shake, discover and more.

🍂Little feet, big trees, and Autumn adventures🍂

✈Today is the day our wonderful Baby Room Leader, Ellie, and her partner Joe set off on their Great Australian Adventure! Ellie has been with us at Nina’s Davenport for three and a half years and has played such an important role in the journeys of so many of our children, past and present.

She will be truly missed by all of our team, children, and families. We wish Ellie and Joe all the very best as they begin this fantastic new chapter! ✈

🌿 Mud Kitchen Magic 🌿
This week our Prep children have been bringing the freshest ingredients to their play – straight from our very own allotment area!
With handfuls of home-grown spinach and rocket, the mud kitchen was transformed into a place of creativity, imagination, and discovery. The children mixed, stirred, and “cooked” with such pride, knowing these leaves had been planted, cared for, and picked by their very own hands.
At Nina's Nursery Davenport, we’re passionate about using our own resources wherever we can. Growing together teaches so much more than gardening – it nurtures independence, teamwork, and a love for the world around us.
And most importantly… it brings pure joy!
