🌍 We’re going the distance for a great cause!
Our Trust is proud to be fundraising for Business Beats Cancer North East , with every penny raised staying right here in the North East to support life-saving work in our region. 💙
We’ll be lacing up and getting moving—racking up miles together with a huge target of 25,000 miles, the equivalent of travelling right around the world! 🌎🚶♀️🚴♂️
Want to be part of the journey? Get involved and help us reach our goal—every mile really does make a difference. If you’d like to join in, please get in touch with Kennedy Grainger, [email protected]

The Connect Multi Academy Trust are off once again on their fundraising crusade! 🚀
You may have seen that the incredible students, teachers and families across Connect Multi Academy Trust raised a staggering £25,000 for Business Beats Cancer North East over the last year, and as we head into a new fundraising year, they're already getting started again!
We're proud to work alongside Connect Multi Academy Trust, led by CEO Linda Rodham, who is also a valued member of the Business Beats Cancer North East board. Linda's passion for making a difference has helped inspire a culture of fundraising and community engagement across the Trust, with pupils, staff and families all playing their part.
We'll be keeping you updated on all of their fantastic fundraising activities throughout the year but here's what they have coming up in June:
🏃 12th June - All day sponsored run/walk
📍 Wingate Primary School, Co Durham
🎪 19th June - Summer Fair
📍 Castleside Primary School, Consett, Co Durham
⚽ 26th and 27th June - Football Tournament
📍 Wellfield School, Wingate, County Durham
A huge thank you to Linda, the staff, students, families and wider Trust community for continuing to support Business Beats Cancer North East.
Good luck to everyone taking part this month - we can't wait to see what you achieve! 👏 Cancer Research UK

Can you help us go the distance?
This half term, our schools are coming together with an ambitious goal: to collectively travel 25,000 miles in support of Business Beats Cancer North East ®. Every step, mile, and effort will make a difference, not only raising funds, but inspiring our students to build resilience, collaboration, and community spirit.
We’re inviting local and national businesses to get involved by sponsoring one of our schools on this journey. In return, your organisation will gain meaningful exposure to over 600 staff members and 4,000+ students, while demonstrating your commitment to community impact.
Your support could take many forms such as financial sponsorship, resources, or simply helping us spread the word. Every contribution, big or small, will help us reach our collective target and make a lasting impact.
If you’d like to support or partner with us, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can achieve something truly powerful for our community.

Amazing work! Well done all!
📚 Published Authors 📚
You may remember that some of our children recently won a writing competition and were having their work published… their book has now arrived!
This is an amazing achievement and a real moment of pride. Seeing their work in a published book is something they should be incredibly proud of – what a fantastic accomplishment! ✨
A huge well done to all involved – we have some very talented young authors in our class! 👏
