New year - new blog post. Hope you enjoy it. If you find it useful, please feel free to share far and wide.
NEW YEAR – NEW YOU (OR HOW TO AVOID SETTING YOURSELF UP TO FAIL) As the annus horriblis that was 2020 slouches off to become the stuff of GCSE History textbooks, medical journals and the world of hard-hitting TV docudramas, we once again turn our faces towards the dawn of a new year. ...

Some really lovely feedback on this week’s blog about befriending loss - thank you Emma Zoe Martin 🤗:
Thank you Lisa for this
I recently lost my dog after 14 years together - she was everything to me and it’s the worst experience I’ve faced with grief.
I decided that whatever I felt - I wasn’t going to bottle it up and I actually got into bed for two days - I’m never normally someone who admits defeat - I always try and keep positive - but I felt so awful I just got into bed and wasn’t hard on myself because I did.
I cried and cried and suffered a migraine that lasted for two days followed by some other physical ailments - that lasted a week
In the past with grieving I’ve always bottled it up and suffered because of not expressing it and burying natural emotions.
This article was so insightful
I like the bit of carrying the love too ❤️ that’s so true x

Please enjoy this short guided meditation - a body scan aimed at grounding distracting thoughts and feelings, relaxing your body and gently holding you in this moment. Perfect for anyone who struggles to settle to sleep at night - especially as the best place to do this meditation is in bed.
