🎨✨ Create Clubs Autumn Term Has Begun – And It’s All About… ME! ✨🎨

Last week we kicked off our exciting autumn project, “All About Me”, where our young creators are diving into the world of zine‑making! These mini handmade booklets are bursting with personality, imagination and brilliant artistic expression.

The children explored all sorts of thought‑provoking prompts, from:
🎨 What’s your favourite colour?
🪄 If you had magical powers, what would you do?
😂 Can you draw something funny that’s happened to you?
💭 …and so much more!

They sketched, coloured, collaged and designed their pages with total enthusiasm — discovering new ways to express themselves while building confidence in talking, sharing and creating.

It’s been a joyful, creative start to the term, and we can’t wait to see how their zines grow week by week. The imagination in these groups is off the charts! 🌈📚💫

🎨 Create Club from The Creation Station is returning to Great Casterton CE Primary School on Thursdays from September. Create Club is an inspiring after-school experience where imagination leads the way!

All of our lessons are delivered by fully trained, DBS checked, first aid and safeguarding trained leaders. Children will develop techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space. We follow a different theme each term and a new topic within each theme every week. All equipment and materials are included, and children take home their own piece of artwork each week, whether this is a drawing, a painting or a sculpture.

Our theme for terms 1 and 2 is "Inspired By Me", where the children will explore topics such as Super Me, Doodle Mania, My Wonderful World, The Story of My Name and My Happy Place.

Each lesson costs £8.00, and there is a 10% discount for block term bookings. If your child attends Great Casterton CE Primary School and is aged 5 or over, simply click on the link below to register and enrol:

🌍🦁🐼 Last Week at Create Club! 🐢🦜🎨✨

What an amazing session we had! 💚🌿

Last week, our young creators brought together everything they had learned about endangered species in a fun, educational, and artistic challenge! 📚🖍️🌎

🗣️ We started by taking turns sharing facts and talking about a variety of incredible endangered animals from around the world. 🦏🐘🐅🐧 The children explored why these species are endangered, what makes them so special, and why it's so important to protect them for future generations. 🌱💙

🎨✂️ They then put their creativity to work by designing and creating their very own Endangered Species Top Trumps playing cards! 🃏✨ Each card was packed with fascinating facts, colourful illustrations, and unique animal statistics, turning learning into an exciting game! 🤩🎉

🎲 Once everyone had finished, it was time to play! The children had so much fun using their handmade cards that when the session came to an end, they were asking for more time to keep playing! 😄👏💚

Watching the children learn, create, laugh, and work together was fantastic. 🥰🌟 Sessions like these show that learning can be creative, hands-on, and full of fun! 🎨📖🌍

We can't wait to see what our young creators make next! 🚀✨

Last week in Create Club, we journeyed to the Polar Region to learn about the effects of global warming on the habitats of polar bears and other Arctic animals. Through fun discussions, the children explored what global warming is, why it matters, and how small everyday actions can help protect our planet.

To celebrate their learning, the children created beautiful marble-painted Polar Region scenes, complete with their very own polar bears. This creative activity combined art with environmental learning, encouraging imagination, creativity, and a growing understanding of how we can all care for our world.

We are incredibly proud of the children's thoughtful ideas, enthusiasm, and wonderful artwork. Well done, everyone! ❄️🐻‍❄️🌍🎨

🌱✨ Curious Carnivorous Plants! ✨🌱

🪴🐞 This week, the children will be diving into the fascinating world of carnivorous plants — amazing plants that can trap and digest insects to help them survive! 😲🪰

🌿🔍 We’ll discover unusual species such as the Venus Flytrap and learn how these incredible plants have adapted to thrive in their unique environments. 🌎💚

🐛➡️🌱 The children will explore why carnivorous plants are so important to nature and the ecosystems they live in, helping to maintain balance in the natural world. 🌼🦋

⚠️🌍 We’ll also learn how some carnivorous plants are becoming endangered due to habitat loss 🏞️, climate change 🌡️, and poaching 🚫, encouraging children to think about how we can all help protect wildlife and natural habitats. 💚🌳

✨📚 A wonderful opportunity for young learners to develop their curiosity, scientific thinking, and appreciation for the amazing diversity of life on Earth! 🌎🌱🪴🐞💚

🌿🦜🌳 Create Club Adventures: Rainforest Rescuers! 🌳🦜🌿

Last week at Create Club, our young artists became Rainforest Rescuers! 🌎✨ We explored the incredible rainforest ecosystem and discovered some of the amazing animals that call it home. Together, we discussed important questions such as: What do animals need to survive? Are all environments the same? How do habitats support living things? 🐒🐸🦋

The children then chose from a range of artistic materials, including oil pastels, felt-tip pens, and watercolour pencils, to create their own rainforest scenes. 🎨🖌️ Each child selected an animal and carefully designed its habitat, thinking about the food, shelter, water, and space it would need to thrive. 🌿💧🏡

This activity combined creativity, observation, and environmental learning, encouraging children to express their ideas through art while developing their understanding of different habitats and ecosystems. 🌎💚

We are so proud of their imaginative work and the thoughtful way they brought their rainforest environments to life. The results are absolutely fantastic! 👏✨
