πŸŽ‰ Day 2 started at the crack of dawn, with our breakfast slot at 7am! After a hearty breakfast, we were straight into another action-packed day full of awesome, heart-racing activities.

πŸ’« Today, our children have taken on rock climbing, Jacob’s Ladder, canoeing and the trapeze. Throughout every activity, they have continued to show fantastic resilience, encouraged and supported one another, and, most importantly, had lots of fun!

We’ll end another brilliant day together around the campfire, with plenty of games and hopefully lots of laughter.

This residential has been such a fantastic way to start our year together. It has been wonderful to see the children challenge themselves, support each other and grow in confidence over the last two days. 🌱

We are absolutely coming back as one wonderful team, ready to tackle everything Year 6 has in store for us! 🎯

πŸ’« As our first day came to a close, I wanted to share how incredibly proud I am of our children. They have represented our school fantastically well; they have been polite, shown great perseverance already and, most importantly, supported and encouraged each other throughout the day.

We started our adventure with a picnic lunch before heading off for a tour of the massive grounds. After that, it was time for our first activities, with all of the children getting stuck into β€˜Survivor’. They worked together to build some Bear Grylls-style shelters before having a go at lighting their own individual fires.πŸ”₯

🌲 Next up was the sensory trail through the forest! Each child was blindfolded and had to feel their way along a winding trail, navigating tunnels and other obstacles along the way.

After a lovely dinner, we ventured to the shop, where the children spent their money on souvenirs and, of course, even more snacks…πŸͺ

We finished our first day by dancing the night away at the silent disco! πŸŽ§πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒ

We’re looking forward to another fantastic action-packed day today!

πŸ’‘ Every fortnight, we’re de-mystifying the language your child uses in school which helps them think like mathematicians, historians, scientists, philosophers and more. Giving you the tools to support their learning at home with confidence.

We’re kicking off with Maths - focusing on understanding how numbers relate to each other.

🏫 A school building is just bricks and mortar until our children walk through the doors.

πŸŽ‰ After weeks of hard work getting our learning spaces refreshed and ready, we are so excited to bring our school community back together. Thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to prepare your children for the year ahead.

Enjoy the final few days of the holiday, and we look forward to seeing you all on π–πžππ§πžπ¬ππšπ² 𝟐𝐧𝐝 π’πžπ©ππžπ¦π›πžπ« ⭐
