Huge congratulations to our Tag Rugby team who finished as runners up this afternoon in the CADSSA KS2 Tag Rugby competition! 🏉
An amazing afternoon of rugby, narrowly missing out on becoming champions by just one point.

Pictured are our Stars of the Week! ⭐
We were very happy to receive this lovely email from a parent who attended this morning!
After attending the rewards assemblies over the past two weeks, I just wanted to express my sincere thanks for providing such a wonderful opportunity for both the students and their parents.
I came away from each assembly feeling truly uplifted — it genuinely made my day. Hearing what the teachers wrote and said about the children was so lovely, and it really highlighted how well they know, understand, and care for each individual child. This was evident across all of the students. Seeing their proud little faces was an absolute joy.
It was also wonderful to see the children being given the opportunity to celebrate their achievements outside of school as well.
We are so pleased with both the education and the wider support our children receive at St Thomas’. We would love the staff to know just how valued and appreciated they truly are.

The potatoes are growing well so the garden club dug out compost and covered them generously. We played a game, involving, pine cones, and trugs, and some very imaginative shelter building. Well done everyone and thanks x👩🌾👩🌾

We are exceptionally proud of being a part of St Gabriel Multi academy trust. Every member of our school family has decorated a jigsaw piece to show that we all play our part in forming pilgrims of hope with kinds hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and hunger for justice. Thank you to for creating the wonderful jigsaws for us.

In gardening club last week the children gave Mary some spa treatments and arranged some lovely flowers for her. They knocked some posts in the ground and wove some tall willow around them. They watered the flower and veg beds and did a great job at filling the pond with water. The children had a go at blowing grass between their thumbs to make a duck sound. That needs a little practice 👩🌾 What a keen bunch of gardeners they are! Thank you to Mrs Swinnerton, Mrs Lomas and the other volunteers for their help with the club!

Well done to our incredible Year 5/6 girls football team! ⚽️
After three weeks of tough matches, followed by another four games tonight, the girls came an amazing 2nd overall!
We are so proud of the way they have played and conducted themselves over the last few weeks. Most importantly, they played every game with smiles on their faces.
Well done girls 🔵🟡

Lunchtime in the sunshine today at St Thomas'! Children enjoyed eating their lunches outside and playing with the OPAL equipment. We also had a team of keen litter pickers! Let's hope the sunshine stays for the Bank Holiday Weekend!

This week the children drilled holes in a milk bottle lid and used them as watering cans. They cut more wood to mark the vegetable seeds they planted. Sowed flower seeds and vegetable seeds. Built a frame for French beans to climb and a little more weeding and more time in the compost heap. The energy and enthusiasm is wonderful.
