Children in Year 3 had a great Stone Age Day yesterday! They all looked brilliant in their costumes and took part in lots of different activities with our visitor from ‘Portals to the Past’. We explored real artefacts, played games and even learned how to capture a woolly mammoth! All children demonstrated our school values beautifully and impressed everyone with their knowledge from our Stone Age topic.

Tomorrow is Census Day at St. Michael's First School, when the government take a headcount of all the children that we have in our school to calculate our funding for the year ahead.

Please encourage your children to order a school dinner from the delicious special menu. The number of children choosing a school meal tomorrow decides a large element of school funding.

The menu is below but we also have the regular choices of pasta, sandwiches and jacket potatoes.

On Wednesday Mrs Hall travelled to Lichfield Cathedral with Chloe and Jenson, our Year 4 Vision Ambassadors, to join in Bishop Michael’s farewell service. It was a wonderful occasion and, as always, the children represented our school brilliantly. Thank you Bishop Michael for your service to our Diocese.
