Have your say!
The Government has launched a national consultation called “Growing Up in the Online World”, and they’re asking for feedback from parents, carers and the wider community.
As children spend more time online than ever before, it’s important that families’ voices help shape future policies to keep young people safe, supported and able to thrive in the digital world.
We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their views.
Your experiences—big or small—can make a real difference.
Take part in the consultation here:

Our budding doctors and surgeons have been busy this week at our Future Medics After-School Club! Children have had the incredible opportunity to use real keyhole surgery training equipment- the same type of machinery used by trainee surgeons- to develop their precision, coordination and problem solving skills!
They also explored the world of science by investigating cell structures under the microscopes and a range of x-ray images.
It’s been a hands on, inspection full of curiosity, teamwork and future career dreams! Who knows… we may have tomorrow’s surgeons, pathologists and biomedical scientists in the group!

Today we were delighted to welcome children’s author Sarah Wynne to school for a truly inspiring day of storytelling and creativity. Sarah, author of Murder on the Dancefloor, Shark Attack and Dogs of Doom, led a whole-school assembly where she shared her unusual and motivating journey to becoming a writer. The children had lots of thoughtful questions and loved hearing about the experiences that shaped her stories.
Years 3–6 then took part in exciting, hour-long workshops with Sarah. Each class began planning their own stories using four key stages: The Set Up, The Catalyst, The Problem, and The Resolution. The hall was buzzing as every year group shared ideas, built characters and plots, and gained inspiration from Sarah’s guidance.
In the afternoon, Class 1 also enjoyed a fantastic Q&A session with Sarah, asking brilliant questions and learning even more about life as an author.
A huge thank you to Sarah for such an engaging and memorable visit — we can’t wait to see the stories our young authors create next!
The Young Voices coach is 15 minutes away from Woodseaves. Please do not park on the lay-by at the end of Dicky’s Lane as that is where the coach will park. 😊
