There is No Planet B
The children in Maple Class enjoyed a creative afternoon on Wednesday making fashion items and models from recycled and found objects. They also considered the environmental impact of people's waste and how we might reduce this.
The "There is No Planet B" team are working with school children to spread the word about the importance of caring for our environment.

FOREST SCHOOL
The children in Year 2 enjoyed a forest school session lately. Using clay and found natural objects, the children made faces on trees. Stones, leaves, twigs, berries and grass were all used to create their faces. Well done children!

THE SNOWMAN - Themed event
CHILL - St Andrew's wrap-around-care club hosted a themed session based on The Snowman. The children had a lovely time decorating healthy biscuits and enjoying snowy crafts.

GRUFFALO THEMED FUN!
On Friday, children enjoyed Gruffalo themed activities at our after school club (CHILL). The children enjoyed making Gruffalo biscuits and a Gruffalo hat! Other themed nights are planned for the future.

On Friday, the children enjoyed a lovely day with published illustrator Pippa Curnick. She visit school to lead drawing workshops for the children. Every child created their own characters. Pippa will be returning to school on World Book Day to show the children how to put their characters into a story.

Farm Animals Visit St Andrew's
The children in Willow and Oak Classes enjoyed learning about farm animals. They enjoyed a real hands-on experience. There were lots of squeals and that was just the children!

The children in Beech Class enjoyed forest school recently. They lit a fire and enjoyed roasting marshmallow's. They then made s'mores by sandwiching roasted marshmallows between two digestive biscuits. Yummy!
