Royal Voluntary Service Platinum Champion Lord Brett McLean who doubles as the Hastings area Sussex Day Champion hosted his annual Sussex Day Business and Community Networking Luncheon at Sussex Coast College Hastings on Sussex Day ( 16th June).

Huge thanks to everyone who attended the Hastings Sussex Day Business and Community Networking Luncheon held at Sussex Coast College Hastings.
Organised by our Sussex Day Hastings area Champion Lord Brett McLean the event celebrated some of the positive elements of Sussex, from businesses, community groups and charities to individuals operating across Sussex and making a difference.
The event also welcomed representatives from the private commercial and charitable sectors who opetate from outside of Sussex including this year's keynote guest speaker Her Excellency The High Commissioner for Uganda 🇺🇬 Nimisha Madhvani who spoke about the importance of opportunity, unity and strengthening relationships between Uganda and the United Kingdom with specific emphasis on Sussex through investment potential within tourism, trade and manufacturing opportunities.
The High Commissioner was then presented with a Sussex flag which will be displayed on Sussex Day in Teafalgar Square.
The event also raised £250.oo for The Baton of Hope charity which focuses on su***de prevention.
