Last week of our ‘Books’ topic, this week it’s our friendly little aliens The Smeds and The Smoos. A lovely Julia Donaldson books that focuses on kindness, diversity and coming together.
The children had so much fun today playing in the small world area and getting to know the story itself.
We took turns listening to our friends while we discussed what makes us happy, and how we can be kind to others. 🚀 🚀

Next week ready!!! 🦸🏻‍♂️🦸‍♀️
We’re going to have great fun reading the Super Potato series.
Discussing what makes us super, helping others and of course because it’s about super vegetables we’ll be looking at foods that help us be healthy, strong and totally awesome! Any superhero costumes bring them in too 🦹‍♀️🦹🏽‍♂️

🌈🌈This weeks book is Elmer the elephant, this story is about diversity and celebrating our own uniqueness. We are also taking the opportunity to look at colours to match Elmer’s beautiful patchwork colours 🌈🌈

All ready for next weeks book… we can’t wait to go on a bear hunt!
We have lots of fun activities planned, explorer kits at the ready and of course the focus book ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ 🐾🔎🔦🐻

This is our Literacy area 📖✏️
This week our phonic sound is mmmmmm Mountain
We also have different types of books, paper and envelopes to make our mark.
One of our friends is showing me how she can make the sound and write the letter beautifully 🌟

Good Morning ❤️
On Friday 13th February we are going to be supporting the Tiny Tickers and Heart Hereo’s charities here at preschool.

Amy’s niece Ottilie, was born with a Congenital Heart Disease and has already, less than a year old, had a life full of hospital visits, scans and testing. These charities have already been a great support to the family whilst navigating through this journey.
We would really like to help support this and raise awareness.

We are asking that children come to preschool in something red / pink or heart-themed (this is optional and not compulsory).
Our proposed date for support is Friday, but also happy for children to come in on Wednesday and Thursday in addition, wearing these colours ❤️

We have been gifted lots of crafting resources for the children to have fun with this week.
