LITTLE HIT #2 ☕️ And yes… there IS tape on my forehead 😂

My morning coffee is one of those little rituals I genuinely look forward to.

☕ Good coffee
🥄 Collagen peptides
🥥 C8 MCT oil
🥛 Raw milk when I can get it

I bring my raw milk home from a farm in Lincolnshire when I’m passing, as you can’t legally buy raw drinking cow’s milk in Scotland.

But did you spot the slightly weirder part of my morning routine? 😂

The tape.

I’ve been putting a little strip of medical tape between my brows at night for around three years to discourage me from scrunching up my “11” lines while I sleep. Glamorous? Absolutely not. 😂 But it’s one of my little habits.

This is exactly what Little Hits is going to be about. The biohacks, wellness habits, midlife experiments and ridiculously simple things I actually do in real life to try to feel better.

Anyone else tape their face at night, or have I lost you already at Little Hit #2? 😂👇

Little Hit #1 🌿 Bare feet + morning light

I’m fascinated by the little things we can do to feel better in midlife, and I’ve realised I already do rather a lot of them. Some might even look slightly bonkers 😂

So this is officially a series.

Biohacking, midlife wellness, perimenopause, nervous system support, sleep, energy, supplements, gadgets and the ridiculously simple things that cost absolutely nothing.

First up, something you’ve seen me doing plenty of already. Coffee in hand, shoes off and feet on the grass.

What slightly weird thing do YOU do because it makes you feel better? Tell me below. I might find my next Little Hit 👇

Anyone else love grounding as much as I do? 👣🌿☕️

Give me bare feet, a coffee and a bit of time outside and I’m happy… right up until I stand on a thistle or a nettle! 🤣🌱 Ouch!

Are you already a grounding convert or do you think I’ve lost the plot? 😂

A little morning shake up ⚡️🤣

On the vibration plate while watching Dr Jason Fung & Dr Mindy Pelz chatting fasting, hormones and metabolic health. Basically my kind of morning geekery!

I’ll pop the YouTube link in the comments if you fancy watching too xx

Well, this escalated quickly… 🤓🧡

I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of Swannies blue light blocking glasses for ages, specifically the +1 readers for evenings when I’m inevitably still looking at something I probably shouldn’t be looking at before bed. 🙄

So tonight I wandered onto the Swannies website and discovered their AI virtual try-on.

Obviously I had to have a go.

And honestly, I have QUESTIONS. 🤣🤣

Are the glasses enormous?
Is my head tiny?
Have I accidentally selected the windscreen option?

Either way, this has entertained me far more than it should have.

Joking aside, I love the idea of having proper blue light blocking readers for my evening wind-down, so yes … despite what your AI has done to my face, I’m still ordering them. 😂🧡

Consider this my extremely unofficial virtual fitting.

One last little hit of Jersey grounding 🇯🇪🌊👣

Before I left Jersey last week, I took one final chance to get my shoes off and my feet onto the beach.

Then, after travelling home to Scotland that evening, I somehow managed to squeeze in a few more minutes outside barefoot too. 🏡👣

And I LOVE the thought that in one day I stood barefoot on the earth in two completely different places.

Jersey ➡️ Scotland
Beach ➡️ Garden
Same little ritual. ❤️

Why do I keep doing it?

For me, grounding is partly about the actual barefoot connection, but it is also everything that comes with it.

🌿 Getting outside
👣 Feeling something real beneath my feet
🌊 Being around nature
🧠 Giving my busy brain something sensory to focus on
☀️ Getting natural light
😌 Slowing down, even if it is only for five minutes

There is emerging research around grounding or “earthing” itself, but the evidence is still limited, so I’m not going to tell you that standing barefoot cures everything.

What I WILL tell you is that getting outside, moving, spending time in nature and deliberately taking a few quiet minutes away from screens are all pretty lovely things to build into your day.

And my N of 1? I feel better when I do it.

Sometimes wellness really can be as simple as taking your shoes off. 👣

Do you ever deliberately walk barefoot outside? Tell me where you last did it 👇

Just saying 🤣🫣 I love you all ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Last week I was in Jersey 🇯🇪 and, quite frankly, I became a little bit obsessed with the Jersey butter. 🧈😂

So much so that I made myself a Bulletproof-style coffee in the hotel every morning.

Want to know exactly what I use?

☕️ A pot of good coffee
🧈 A wonderful teaspoonful of proper Jersey butter
🥥 A handy WillPowders MCT C8 oil sachet, perfect for travelling
✨ Hunter & Gather Collagen Peptides

And that’s it. No whizzer, frother or fancy equipment needed. Just a spoon. 🥄

I think we can sometimes fall into the trap of believing every wellness habit needs another gadget. None of these products needed anything more complicated than a good old-fashioned stir.

I’ve been making my coffee this way for years, so this definitely isn’t a holiday fad for me. Jersey just supplied a particularly fabulous butter upgrade. 🇯🇪

And here’s a little hit of happiness I discovered while I was there… Jersey’s dairy cows are still individually named. 🐄💕 How lovely is that?

As always, none of this is paid or sponsored content. I don’t do paid recommendations. If I mention something, it’s because I actually buy it, use it and like it.

Follow me for more simple wellness habits that don’t require buying another gadget. 😂✨

🌕 FULL MOON. BARE FEET. JERSEY BEACH. 🇯🇪

If ever there was a morning for a little grounding, this is it.

Shoes off.
Feet in the sand.
Sea air.
Coffee, obviously ☕️
And a few minutes doing absolutely nothing except being where I am.

I’ve become a huge fan of these tiny pauses. Not complicated wellness. Not another thing to buy. Just getting outside, taking your shoes off and reconnecting with nature for a few minutes.

And today, with a full moon over Jersey, it feels like an especially lovely day to do it. 🌕🌊

So here’s your little Friday challenge…

👣 Take your shoes off and get outside today.

Garden. Beach. Grass. Sand. Wherever you can.

Then come back and tell me ONE WORD for how you felt afterwards 👇

And tag the person who needs a little barefoot reset this weekend.

Save this for the next day your head feels far too busy, or share it with someone who could use their own little hit of happiness. 🤍

To everyone who has liked, shared, commented on or saved one of my little whatevers… thank you 🥰

Every tiny tap helps my page find another person who might enjoy my slightly chaotic mix of wellness, coffee, grounding, running businesses, trying things so you don’t have to and generally finding the little hits of happiness in everyday life.

And I absolutely LOVE seeing new faces appearing here. ❤️

So, if something I post makes you smile, think, try something new or just feel a little less alone in the chaos, hit follow and stick around.

There’s plenty more whatever’s where these came from 🤣

And if you already follow me, send this to someone you think would fit right in here.

Thank you,
Elle xx
