We’ve had such a lovely time this afternoon supporting Macmillan Cancer Support with our Cake & Coffee Afternoon. It was so nice to welcome our parents in and see everyone enjoying some quality time together. ☕🍰

The children absolutely loved having their parents join in, and they had lots of fun getting involved with our autumn activities 🍂🍁 and, of course, having a bounce and a play on the bouncy castle!

It was a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, cake and lots of happy children.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parents for coming along, joining in the fun and helping us support such an important cause.

We enjoyed a lovely autumn walk this morning, getting out into the fresh air and exploring the changes happening all around us. 🌳🍂

The children enjoyed searching for leaves, twigs, conkers and lots of other autumn treasures, talking about what we could see, feel and hear along the way. We looked closely at the different colours, shapes, sizes and textures of the leaves and noticed how the trees are beginning to change. 🍁🤎💛

Once back at the setting, we used our collected treasures to make our very own 🍂 leaf kebabs! The children carefully threaded leaves onto sticks, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration while using their imagination to create their own designs.

🌿🍂 A lovely morning exploring the great outdoors! 🍂🌿

Today we headed out for a little adventure, exploring our local surroundings and making the most of the beautiful sunshine. The children enjoyed getting down low and investigating what they could find, looking closely at leaves, sticks, stones and all the little things nature has to offer. 🔍🌱

We also stopped to watch the wildlife and enjoyed plenty of opportunities for curiosity, observation and conversation. The children were fascinated by what they could see and loved sharing their discoveries with one another. 🐛🍃

Our outdoor adventures provide so many wonderful learning opportunities — developing confidence, physical skills, communication, problem-solving and a real appreciation for the world around us. ❤️

Lots of exploring, discovering and learning through play! 🌳👣✨

This morning we hopped on the bus and headed off to the park for a little adventure! 🥰

The children were so excited to experience travelling on the bus and loved looking out of the windows along the way. Once we arrived, we had lots of fun exploring the park, enjoying the fresh air and making the most of the different opportunities for play. 🌿🍂

🎒🚗 SCHOOL DROP-OFF & PICK-UP – 🚗🎒

We are looking at the possibility of offering school drop-off and pick-up from St Werburghs Primary School as part of our childminding setting.

We will still be continuing our school collection from Borrow Wood School as normal, so this would simply give families another option.

This could be a great option for parents who need a little extra support around their working hours, with children being cared for in our familiar, home-from-home setting before and/or after school.

We are currently gauging interest to see how many families would be interested in the St werburghs service before making any plans.

If this is something that could benefit your family, please send us a private message with your child’s year group and the days you would potentially require.

There’s no commitment at this stage – we’re simply seeing if there is enough interest to make this possible! 😊
