Did you know that badminton star Donna Kellogg MBE used to attend our schooll? And she still returns regularly to teach after school clubs in the sport. 🏸

We are still humming along following the brilliant guitar performance on Friday. Well done to all the pupils who took part, you were amazing! 🤩🎸

As part of World Book Day, we held a book swap and cake sale to raise money for new books.

The event was fantastically well supported with long queues and just under £200 being made. Thank you for the books and cakes donated by staff and the community.

It was lovely to welcome back our pupils today. We hope they all had a lovely half term and are looking forward to the rest of the Spring term!

Did you know this week is National Apprenticeship Week? Our children recently enjoyed a fantastic visit from Rolls-Royce apprentices - two of whom were former Borrow Wood Primary pupils! Thank you Evan and Bradley for coming back to your old school to inspire us about engineering with some hands on activities!

Peek-a-boo! This was such fun for the pupils and teachers. Our Year 3 and 4 children got to build a Roman defence and the teachers tested it with some foam arrows! It stood up very well!

Friends of Borrow Wood School would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas fair - by buying raffle tickets, donating prizes or attending the event. Together we have raised an amazing £1800 for the school!

The money we raise this year will be used to provide musical instruments and resources for the school music room.

We would like to say a special thank you to all the staff that contributed to the fabulous cake stall and to the local businesses that provided prizes for the raffle. Wow! What a turnout. The Christmas Fair was a fabulous success on Friday.

The chocolate and bottle tombolas proved very popular and the staff cake stall was spectacular.

Hats off to the Friends of Borrow Wood who organised this event to raise money for school!

Our Christmas Fair will take place on Friday, December 8 from 3.40pm to 5pm. As a reminder - it is cash only at the Christmas Fair.

Old favourites the chocolate and bottle tombola will return alongside a range of stalls, games, and refreshments.

Thank you for all the donations received on November 24.

We are really looking forward to seeing you at the fair - all money raised will support the school.
