Good to see Stephen again this past week who has been a regular student for sometime now.

Stephen plays at Q Ball in Basildon, Essex when he finds time from his busy job.

We worked on a new routine to improve Stephen's cue ball and positional play and he made meaningful progress throughout the lesson.

Stephen hopes to find time soon for some dedicated solo practice to try and put learning into practice.

Oscar (7) has been attending junior snooker for several months now and during the past week took part in his first solo lesson.

We included working on elements of the White to Black program and Oscar progressed very well and was enthusiastic throughout.

Well done Oscar!

It was my pleasure to host David for a lesson this past week.

David has returned to snooker following a 30 year absence and has recently joined the local snooker league and is slowly building up his confidence again and keen to improve his game further.

Part of the session included the use of Chris Henry balls which is always a great addition to any snooker lesson.

Well done David some great progress.

It was good to welcome the juniors back for another junior club session this week after the summer break.

We welcomed Finlay to the group who has been finding time to practice at Romford Snooker Club and was interested in coming along to our junior session to see what we get up to. Well done Finlay some great snooker on show from you.

The session continued our journey on simple positional play before moving on to our challenges and routines.

Well done all!

A great final and well done to Ali Carter.

However nothing will top what I have just seen Mark Williams Snooker do in giving his runners up medal to a young lad stood at the side of the table, he was overjoyed and couldnt believe what had happened. What a legend !

Thanks to Phil, Lenny and George for a great day.

The juniors from Baize & Glory Snooker Club Southend had a great evening this week when some of the group along with their families got to see live snooker at The English Open in Brentwood.

Whilst a school night, the juniors made sure they stayed to watch Shaun Murphy OBE on the TV table which followed the match featuring Judd Trump.

A great time was had by all.

Thanks again to WST for your support.

Junior Snooker Group - English Open - Tuesday 8th September.

Tomorrow evening I am looking forward to junior members and their families getting the opportunity to watch live snooker right on our doorstep at the International Centre, Brentwood.

For many of the juniors ranging from 6 years right through to 16 years of age, this will represent the first time they have had such an opportunity.

Many of them have been counting down the days due to their excitement.

I would like to thank WST for supporting the juniors, the group are extremely grateful.
