Hello! I’m Sophie, a qualified English teacher with years of experience teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils across the AQA and Edexcel exam boards, helping them prepare for both Literature and Language GCSEs. I have also tutored older students undertaking GCSE resits, as well as KS2 pupils who need a boost in their fundamental language skills and confidence before starting secondary school.

I hold a fully enhanced DBS check and have extensive safeguarding training, ensuring your child’s safety and giving you complete peace of mind.

English has always been my passion. I earned my degree from a leading Russell Group institution, Queen Mary's University of London, where I studied everything from Shakespeare to poetry to 19th-century Gothic literature. My love for learning has made me both knowledgeable and confident in delivering all curriculum-based content, particularly GCSE modules.

Outside of teaching, I’m a mum to a (soon-to-be) two-year-old who keeps me busy when I’m not working! I understand the importance of wanting the best for your child and ensuring they are in excellent care. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch—I’ll be happy to help.
